Getting Started

How do I create my first short link?

Paste your full destination URL into the homepage form and submit it. The API validates the URL, stores the record, and returns a shareable short link immediately.

Do I need an account to use UnlockFlowURLS?

The current public workflow lets you create links without signing in. Dashboard expansion can support richer account-level management later.

How many steps are in the redirect process?

UnlockFlowURLS now uses two waiting pages. Each step lasts 15 seconds and the final redirect is triggered only when the visitor clicks the Get Link button.

Will my links expire automatically?

No. Links are stored without an expiration date by default, which makes them suitable for evergreen content, creator bios, and long-term campaign placements.

Can I test my own short link before sharing it?

Yes. You should always open the short URL yourself, verify both waiting steps, and confirm that the final destination domain matches what you expect.

Features & Functionality

Does UnlockFlowURLS support click tracking?

Yes. Click totals are recorded on the final redirect endpoint so operators can measure completed unlocks rather than only initial opens.

Can existing legacy short codes still work?

Yes. The resolver checks the modern short-link collection first and then falls back to the legacy collection, which preserves backward compatibility.

Why is there a final Get Link button instead of auto-redirect?

Manual confirmation gives users more control, makes the experience clearer, and preserves a reliable place to record the completed redirect event.

Is there a dashboard for managing links?

Yes. The dashboard lists recently created links and provides quick access to manage or review activity. It is designed to grow into richer analytics over time.

Can I compare UnlockFlowURLS with other tools?

Yes. Comparison pages are available for Bitly, TinyURL, and Short.io so visitors can review differences in workflow, pricing model, and monetization fit.

Monetization & Earnings

How can a 2-step flow improve monetization?

A two-step flow creates additional ad inventory, filters accidental clicks, and surfaces only more intentional traffic to the final destination.

Does UnlockFlowURLS guarantee earnings?

No. Earnings depend on your traffic quality, ad setup, audience geography, destination relevance, and campaign execution. The platform supports monetization but does not promise revenue.

Why keep ad placements on both waiting pages?

Distributing placements across both steps helps balance user attention while maintaining a predictable number of impressions across the full unlock journey.

Can I use affiliate or CPA links?

Yes, provided the destination complies with applicable law, advertising network rules, and our terms. Deceptive or prohibited content is not allowed.

What is the best way to improve unlock completion?

Use high-intent traffic sources, honest destination messaging, fast-loading landing pages, and a clear match between your promotion and the final destination.

Technical Support

What happens if a destination URL is invalid?

The API rejects malformed, private-network, credentialed, or unsupported URLs before a short link is created.

Is there any rate limiting on the API?

Yes. API endpoints apply IP-based rate limiting to protect the service from abuse and to stabilize platform performance.

Can I request support for a broken link?

Yes. Reach out through the contact page or email support with the short code and the expected destination so the issue can be investigated quickly.

How do you protect against refresh abuse during the countdown?

The waiting pages store the start time in session storage and warn the visitor before refresh, which helps preserve the original countdown instead of resetting it casually.

Is there a health endpoint for monitoring?

Yes. A dedicated health endpoint reports service, environment, and database status to help with operational checks and deployment monitoring.
